The first quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends among the top navigation and maps applications in Tunisia. Here's a closer look at the performance of the leading apps: Google Earth, Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass, Google Maps, Satellite View Offline, and GPS Satellite Maps Navigation.
Google Earth, published by Google LLC, experienced a steady decline in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting with 4.2K downloads in the first week of January, the numbers dipped to around 1.9K by mid-March, before slightly increasing to 3.1K in the last week. Active users also saw a downward trend, decreasing from 37.8K to 31.7K over the quarter.
Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass by Visionary AI had more fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 3.7K in early January and then varying between 2.3K and 3.4K for the rest of the period. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 8.5K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Google Maps also published by Google LLC, showed a similar pattern with downloads starting at 3.3K and ending at approximately 2.6K. Active users saw a peak at 81K in early February but generally hovered around 68K to 72K for most of the quarter.
Satellite View Offline from dalucia had a notable spike in downloads at the beginning of January with 13.3K downloads, but this number dropped significantly to around 1.3K by February. Despite this, the app maintained a consistent number of active users, averaging around 27.5K throughout Q1.
Lastly, GPS Satellite Maps Navigation by Vision Apps Tech saw its downloads peak at 2.7K in early January but declined to 805 by the end of March. Active users, however, showed a positive trend, increasing from 3.4K to 5.4K over the quarter.
